Armani & feathers

I was asked to write about someone very fashion. So i have decided to talk about the most sophisticated person in this whole country:

El presidente Lula.

It's undeniable that our president, besides being a example of well-dressed person, create the coolest trends! This great orator is a master of the good speech, known by his preference for italian suits and his fine taste for destilled beverages. Respected for all other leaders, he shows, through his vast knowledge and refined culture, that Brazil has a educated and intelligent people. Actually, we all can be proud of having this noble man as the representant of our country. Thanks for the president Lula, the lattest trend in Brazil is to wear the indigenous headdresses and drink "cachaça", the brazilian vodka. Also, the long beards are coming back to fashion.

Of course most people cannot buy expensive suits like him (in fact our suits are often made of potato sacks), or to drink fancy booze, but he stills a standard of good taste and sophistication.
Maybe his style is unaffortable many people, some can say. But I guess that his appeal among the low classes is based on the fact that the poor can always grow their beards and wear their chicken-feathered headgears.

God bless our great republic!

Welcome to Brazil!

Hello my friends, I'm John, and I'm writing form Brazil. We're finally connected to internet (12kbps LOL), so I've decided to create this blog, to present my country for the rest of the world and to clarify some wrong myths about it. For example, many foreigners think that monkeys run free in our streets. It's totally fake. We have strict laws about apes, and the anti-monkey police is very severe in its duty of keeping the monkeys away. It 's completely safe to enjoy your banana drinks whenever you want.

By the way, I apologize for my poor english. The only language teachers found here are the missionaries, and the last one left in my village was eaten by a crocodille six years ago. So I learn most from american 80's movies and old pulp fiction.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog, as much as I enjoy writing it, and maybe you get interested in visiting us. Please bring many dollars. And a cheezburger.
